Mining level 77+
You can now go to the Living Rock Caverns and mine Concentrated Coal with the pros. Bring your best Varrock Achievement armor and good protection against crush and ranged attacks. Beasts of burden are also popular in these caverns. Mine Concentrated Coal until the vein collapses and then look for a new vein. If those Living Rock monsters are giving you grief then hop over to world 84. There is safety in numbers and it can be completely safe to mine in world 84’s crowd -- OK, not completely safe.

Mining lvl 80+
You are skilled enough with a pick to mine Concentrated Gold. Head to the living Rock Caverns, look for some gold veins, and start hauling in the xp (and some profitable gold ore as well). When a convenient gold veins collapse, go ahead and mine some concentrated coal while you wait for the gold vein to restore.

Unusual Tip:
The Living Rock monsters in the Living Rock Caverns can be downright dangerous to miners. One thing most people don’t realize is that the monsters usually don’t attack you unless you get very close to them. One way to help stay safe is to never use the mini-map to move around in the caverns - or you might walk right next to some living rock and end up decorating the place with a stone of your own - your gravestone. Instead move around by clicking in the main screen and try and avoid those stone throwers.
